Why’d banks start closing their doors after hours past couple years

You used to be able to access banks atm even after business hours but I noticed that many banks (TD) started locking the doors to the atms after business hours. Anyone know why they started doing this? Only a couple I’ve been to keep the doors to their atms open I’m not sure bout any other banks doing this just TD
