FPS and Render Distance

What do you guys get on average FPS wise? I'm playing on a laptop currently that has a I9 13th gen and a 4070ti and I only see around 50 to 60 fps on medium settings at 1440p. Anyone else think it should be higher? And I have issues with the render distance too, makes it hard to drive the 4x4 because iron or stone blocks just pop up like 5ft in front of me while driving. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure I have render distance set to max.
