Whats your experience with wage garnishment?

My caseworker finally found NCP employer and sent out a wage garnishment order. He owes $8,900 and monthly amount is $1,260. What has been your experience with wage garnishment? Does the employer usually comply? If they sent that to the employer is that a guarantee ill receive payment? Also Im wondering if I will receive the full monthly amount of $1,260 or how exactly it works. Hes never paid a dime so i have no experience with payments in general
