Vulnerability Scanning questions

Hello everyone, I am interested in learning more about a career as a vulnerability analyst. I would appreciate to read peoples perspectives.

1. Is it normal for large organizations (like over 10,000 employees for example), to use just 1 vulnerability scanning tool like Qualys or Tenable? I assumed by using a few (like 3 tools) a VM team can get better coverage of their environment.

2. I was also wondering how big a Vulnerability Management team is? From what I've read, it always seems to be 2 vulnerability analysts on a team.
