I don't recall having seen anyone else mentioning anything similar, but it's possible I didn't look hard enough. I have a speculation about Bayle. Specifically regarding his second phase, where he sprouts seemingly spectral wings. They sprout from his shoulders, obviously, but the coloration is what caught my eye. They're lighter, and more pink-ish than Bayle's Flame Lightning, which has a harsher, orange color. They're somewhat comparable to Ancient Dragon Lightning in color. There even seems to be Red lightning at his feet when he transitions to phase 2. That had me wondering about Placidusax's heads. They're latched into his neck, but trailing down his back a bit, and they do sort of cover his shoulder areas. The spectral wings themselves also look similar to Placidusax's, albeit less damaged and rocky. I won't pretend it's not a bit of a stretch, but is it possible that Bayle is channeling some amount of power through Placidusax's heads? Or perhaps manifesting Placidusax's wings through some bizarre twist on Dragon Communion? He can't fly without them. When you first enter his arena, his landing is more of a drop than a glide. And if he were creating those wings with his own power, wouldn't they be closer in appearance to his original wings? Again, it's pure speculation, but I am still curious about why those wings seem so different.
