What is your opinion of session packages?

Hello, so the clinic where I worked used to sell 4 session packages. You couldn't buy a single session with them. It seemed unethical to me at first, but they said to me it prioritizes the clients who are really committed as they have many people who want to do therapy with them. I am now in the same position in my private practice, I am very niche and have over 50 people on a waiting list, I, however, want to prioritize those who are really committed. What is your take on session packages?
