How to talk to engineers?

I'm joining google india blr office in 45 days and am quite nervous. I don't like it when engineering say things like "react" "tech stand" "node" and it sounds like latin to me. I've tried to learn python in the past and was mildly successful.

Can someone help suggest crash courses that can help basics on engineering software products so that I can have a semi-sensible conversation with my collegues?

I love learning so don't worry about giving me the shortest 1 pager of the study material. I have happy to spend 80+ hrs on this. But want to feel comfortable in my knowledge of the subject matter.
