Israel Keyes
I recently listened to a podcast on Israel Keyes and followed up by watching interrogation footage. He has often been portrayed as smart and keenly manipulative, based on his "kill kits" and extensive planning. After hearing his story from the podcast, he seems good at winning his demands with investigators. While in custody he gets a daily newspaper, internet privileges, and most importantly candy bars.
But after watching the dude on camera, he is even more pathetic than his cruel crimes. He doesn't come across as intelligent. He's directly stating that he is asking for compensation for his confessions. Eventually after being substantially linked and confessing to the Samantha Koenig murder.. he essentially says "alright I know I'm fucked and the candy bars aren't cutting it in here, there's nothing more that will make me happy for information".
Watching him in the video showed a much different man than I had expected after the things I had read and heard. What do you guys think?
