No signal from monitor after new build and red lights indicating cpu and ram is not working

I built a new pc and when i turn it on there is so signal even after trying different gpus. on the motherboard there is a red light indicating something is wrong with the ram and cpu but i tried keeping one ram stick in to see if that would do anything and it still shows the red light indicating its not working. im not exactly sure what to do any help would be great.
