I have a gigabyte aorus 15p. I had it for almost 2 years and whilst playing helldivers it shut off. Dead. Straight to black screen and wouldn't start. I've checked the power supply and taken the battery out to see if it runs without it but it doesn't. I can only conclude its the motherboard but I don't know much. I'm hoping someone who knows their shit can try tell me if it's fixable or not. If so I will fix it myself since nowhere close to me deals in these kind of repairs and I don't want to wait months to get it back. There is an electric sorta smell when i try to turn it on. There are no other responses from the laptop aside from that smell. I think I might of heard clicking a few times but I'm not sure. It probably won't help but I've added a picture encase.

I've just been looking over it again and it does look like something is missing but I don't know. There were no rattles or anything in the laptop and nothing fell out when I opened it up. So it's probably nothing but worth a mention. I am desperate here. Don't have any money or way of repairing it really unless I do it myself.

I've thought about checking the electrical current to see where it goes and where it stops if it does but I wouldn't know what to do even if I found it.

Just ye pretty desperate so where better to turn than the many faced and all knowing reddit users.

Any ideas or advice is appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Laptop died mid game, no idea why. Motherboard?
