Renewable steel ?

I was wondering if it is rhetorically possible to have infinite steel.

You need three things : Iron, lime and carbon.

Iron is the easiest, luck issue, grab an iron volcano and tame it.

For lime, you have two options : use the ancient specimen to make fossils from diamonds (?!) and make these from carbon thanks to spaced out. Or you can setup a critter farm and crush the egg shells. One is of course easier than the other, but where is the craftsmanship ?

But I don’t really see how to have an infinite supply of carbon. I don’t think there is a vanilla way to turn wood into charcoal. And freezing CO2 doesn’t magically purify it into pure carbon.

Am I missing something ?
