Aside from the obvious, what about your space makes it truly feel ‘yours’?
It’s a little extreme I can admit, but I make and KEEP my space feeling ‘mine’ by being the only person ever in it.
The size of my apartment is cozy—very very cozy. If I turn my head, I’m basically already in another room. No stairs or hallways—just doors, walls, and really adorable plants.
My best friends’ husband came over once to help with an air conditioner, but now can install it solo. Nobody has stepped foot inside since then and I have kept it that way.
I have found that I actually prefer it :)
A happy couple might enjoy the coziness, but it’s really best suited one individual and possibly the only the smallest of pets, in my opinion.
I typically suggest to just meet somewhere ‘halfway’ when people offer to come to me, or I’ll offer to go to them. At least then I get to gift myself the pleasure of a specific departure time and knowing my space is awaiting me exactly how I left it—just right <3
