Need to confirm I’m reading this right..
I have a drug test coming up in the state of CA at a local hospital.
I was reading the post offer, pre employment screening policy and I can see they don’t test for marijuana but I’m not sure what the second part means where it says someone will contact if there’s a reason for lawful drug use (excluding marijuana).. I’m not sure why this part is confusing me, I think my job anxiety has ruined my comprehension and would just appreciate another set of eyes reading this. Thank you!
“A substance abuse screen occurs when a urine specimen is screened for the following eight categories of drugs including amphetamine (amphetamines and methamphetamine), cocaine metabolite, opiates (Codeine, Oxycodone, Hydromorphone, Hydrocodone, Morphine and Oxymorphone), phencyclidine (PCP), Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Methadone, Propoxyphene by an independent laboratory.
These results will be provided for review to the MRO, who will contact the prospective employee to discuss the screening results and whether there is a reason for the positive result such as lawful drug use (excluding marijuana) or possible explanations other than the use of illegal substances.”
