Does it matter if the lens is a US or Japan model? More in comments.

Recently purchased a used Nikkor AFS 85 1.4 from MPB.com

They didn't provide the serial number on the page, when I reviewed the serial number I noticed it's a Japanese model.

Was there any differences aside from warranty? Not sure if repair is applicable in this since the lens is old
