I've noticed that communities that restrict and control women have high birth rates. Why is this?

Discussion

Whether if it's the amish, muslims, the Irish travellers or ultra orthodox Jews.

They all restrict and control women to a large degree.

They do this by shaming, bullying, threats of violence and even violence.

I'm making no judgement, i'm just describing it as i see it. The men are also restricted and controlled in these communities but it's not to the same degree.

For example irish traveller men are known for being promiscuous and infidelity.

If a Irish traveller women behaved in the same way she would be shunned from her community and her family would also face consequences such as being shamed.

From a evolutionary point of view it's simple, for most of human history(until paternity testing was invented) , women have always known that their child is actually their child. However, men are not sure.

This is the reason why it's so much worse for a women too cheat than it is for a man to cheat.

Some would claim that this is why men evolved sexual jealousy and mate guarding.

In some Muslim communities (even muslim communities in europe) they have honour killings. if a women cheats, is promiscuous or even isn't "pious enough". On occassion Her family kill her to bring back the honour to the family within the local Muslim community. Every now and then i read about honour killing in the news. They are usually within the pakistani community but also other Muslim communities such as the kurds.

I often see pakistani men in nightclubs but rarely pakistani women. Which suggests that women are restricted and controlled more than men.
