Golden Oldie: Russia was barred from competing in Paris because of its ongoing war in Ukraine - but what about Israel and its ongoing war in Gaza?

Russia was barred from competing in Paris, because it had invaded Ukraine just four days after the end of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The International Olympic Committee considered this attack a violation of the Olympic truce — a resolution that calls for all nations to lay down arms and not engage in conflict, starting one week before the Olympics begin and ending one week after the end.

Correct if I am wrong, but I suspect that Israel is still actively engaging in military action in Gaza, before and during the Olympics. I do not watch much news, but that is the impression that I am getting > Israel: lots of bombs, missiles, machine guns, etc. (please note that I have not made any judgement about their military action, whether it is right or wrong, and whether they are murdering innocent cilivilians, a lot of them children,and then raping innocent imprisoned civilians - not disputed). Surely, that also violates the Olympic truce
