President that almost was - RFK Sr.

I just finished watching the documentary on Ethel Kennedy. I had no idea about her or some of the things that RFK Sr. did. I didn't know he went into a bout of depression (rightfully so after JFK was killed) or that he was the first to ascend up Mount Kennedy. I think he would have made a wonderful president - definitely a better candidate than Humphrey. How history could have changed. I think he would have ended the Vietnam War. Nixon would not have become President. Lots of history would have changed if not for that fateful night in 1968.

I also think SHE would have made a wonderful president. I wonder why she never ran for office - I suspect with 11 children and all the heartache given, she devoted herself to causes instead of office. Some would even day that is even more powerful. Thoughts on what could have been?
