Sylus Lost Oasis Lore?

I finally got the memory today but there was a lot of lore bits that confused me! Like, when Sylus comments that ||his abs aren't real but they can move|| or when mc starts talking about ||the scars he supposedly hides||. I can't tell if my brain is just not braining or if I missed something so can someone please explain? 😭🙏
