Drills at home: distance from net clarification

Hi all. I just added some tape on the wall alojg with the floor kitchen line which is supposedly 7ft from the net. It looks like the line is a bit far from the net compared to the actual courts I played in so I’m confused how far I should be putting the tape from the net. Almost all courts I played in are about 5ft from the net instead of 7ft. Am I missing something?
