Question about SD cards

So I had this sd card I bought for the switch and got a new one. I transfered everything from the sd card onto the system memory and then transfered that on the new sd card. Kept going until everything was on the new sd card. I've been playing for months since and there been no problems. But now I've decided to use the sd card for my phone. There are some files that my phone can't read, is it ok to just wipe the sd card.
