Event Cancellation Insurance Question

Hi,

I purchased wedding/event cancellation insurance for an upcoming wedding in October. Our original venue cancelled on us due to construction that was delayed significantly. We filed a claim under the policy for lost deposit, they didn't refund our entire deposit, and extra expense, we booked a similar venue that was slightly more expensive. The insurance company paid out our losses minus the deductible.

My question comes in regarding the new venue, every vendor is the same except the venue, but the venue is specifically notated on the declarations page. I asked about getting it updated since it is not a new event but a valid replacement event as evidenced by their claim approval. It is the same day, same time, same vendors besides venue, but a few miles down the road.

Should this new venue be covered under my existing policy or is this an instance where I would need an entire new policy? I feel it should be covered still, the company is saying I need a new policy.
