Opinions on keeping shrimp in a 2-3 gallon?
Hi everyone I wanted to try my hand at breeding shrimp again after my nano tank project only gave me clear/brown shrimp. I do have experience with tanks that are between 10-30 gallons but for this project I would like a small and cute tank that would work as a plant grow out tank. I have experience with keeping plants and fish separately but want to move on from artificial decor to live plants. With that being said I dont really want a larger growout tank and want to stick with between 2-3 gallons so that I don’t overstock the tank with plants. I am planning on adding shrimp after the one year mark when I am certain that I can keep the plants alive and stabilize the tank. I have kept shrimp before but was wondering if it was humane or not to keep them in 2-3 gallons of water if I was able to keep them alive in 10 gallons previously? I plan on adding 5 shrimp to start off and if there are no females at all I might add 5 more to the tank at a maximum. I will also not be keeping them in a jar and will go for something that is more suitable for an aquarium like an actual tank
