Sole custody question

Question and answers are needed. Advice is needed and welcome.. I along my kids left a domestic violence situation.. and well I have filed for temporary protection order and then had a hearing and have now a order of protection for me and the kids for the year. My thing is he has now filed for legitimation and our case is pending. My thing is in state of gas for unmarried couples mother has rights over kids. But with this legitimation case it throws me off. My kids are scared of him. They fear for him. Since all this he has been online slandering my name and I have not responded because well I don't care to. I honestly care more of mine and the kids safety and there well being only. Since then I was able to get a safe space for us and still despite this he has doing all possible to harass me and to pull as many straws he can to simply get a reaction. I know I said a mix of a bunch. I hope it made sense..
