How do you "turn it around" / make a comeback?

I've just realised something regarding why cash out feels so frustrating to play sometimes - because you can get stuck in a rut which is difficult to escape

What I mean is, in TA (and other games with that kind of mode), each round is new. When you've lost, you've lost. You can claw it back and gain momentum even if you're down by a few rounds.

In world tour/cash out, if you've been wiped a couple of times and can't get your hands on that cash box - what do you do to try and change the game into your favour?
