4x laryngitis in 6 months. Small amounts of blood in phlegm.
39M. Went to the docs after the 3rd time and he's trying to get me into an ENT but the wait times are massive in Ontario. Starts with a hoarse voice but turns into a pain on the same side deep in my throat (right side). If I don't drink anything it gets really dry and much more raspy before it loosens again. First time it last 10 days. 2nd time nearly 4 weeks. 3rd time about a week. And we are now on day about 4 here.
Went for a long ish run earlier, since I don't have any other symptoms and have the same energy. But when I came back I coughed up some phlegm and it had some blood in it. Small amounts but enough to make me alarmed. It's happend a few times now.
I'll call the doc tomorrow again about the ENT referral, but realistically should I be pushing to get this looked at quicker? Ie. Go to the hospital? Blood in anything in alarming and I'm hoping I've just damaged it (I tend to get a bit shouty at shows and I have 2 young kids) and I keep damaging it and now with the run it's just annoyed the damage enough to bring up some blood.
6feet. 180lbs. White. Ontario, Canada No current meds Casually smoked until I was 29. Nothing since then.
