Is anybody else upset at the ending of CoTN

Spoilers, obviously.

When I got to the end I was honestly really disappointed. Ending it with Kou never becoming a vampire and him and Nazuna technically being seperated. I respect that that with the lore, it made sense at the time with Nazuna being in love with him. I just feel unfulfilled by the ending.

Also, was Seri in love with Aki? Because rereading, it seems that way. I’m sure that Nazuna asked her if she fell in love with him. Was that ever love? Was it a misunderstanding off feelings or just a plothole? Maybe I’m the one misunderstanding it.
