The Death of a Showman
I am a history fan and I have been reading it for years, this includes watching content on Youtube made for History Fans. There was a channel that for a while discussed history without telling people how to think and it was high quality amazing, fans may now it by the name "Kings and Generals" I not only watched their content but it was a sort of guilty pleasure I would save their videos for my cheat days. I would always look forward to when they came out especially the "The Wars of the Diadochi" Series. This went on and until I started to notice they were giving more and more political opinions in their videos and this was around the time I became a paid member indicated by the gold logo of the channel in my pictures. The following discussion you can read for yourself I will leave you to make your opinions on my conduct as well as theirs. I will also give my opinion briefly, here. I believe that history should be told in the most objective manner as possible leaving viewers not only entertained, but with something think about that's beauty of History it doesn't have a singular meaning and make the listener/viewer think different thoughts about what they just listened to or read. So, to my surprise when I told a channel that I enjoyed so much what I thought about their videos they essentially told me to unsubscribe from their channel basically saying go "Fuck Yourself" That's when I realized the success of this channel has gotten to big for it's britches. You should never tell a fan who pays your company/channels bills and contributes to views to go fuck themselves that will lead to the death of their channel. How many people get to make content Youtube full time and get to do what they love everyday not many that's for sure. Not only are they successful in terms of views, but subscribers as well with 3.67 Million Subscribers and Millions more in views. I used to love watching the videos for this channel but I would give you a warning if they said these aweful things to not only a viewer but to a paying fan not less that helps pay their bills what do you think they will say and do to you?
