War Thunder randomly disconnects me from WiFi

For the record before I even continue: no, I do not have ethernet, and do not intend to wire it. The house is not properly wired to have an ethernet connection where I use my laptop.

That said: I'm convinced War Thunder randomly kills my wi-fi connection as it pleases. At any point during matches, connection is lost and then regained some seconds later, half the time resulting in me crashing into terrain in air battles, making this game quite unplayable.

Running netsh wlan show wlanreport via cmd confirms that the connection was dropped because of the driver, but I am unconvinced as it is a bad driver, as I have purged this driver, then re-installed the latest one.

Am I the only one with this issue?
