Teach me something

I recently tried to cap my frame rate in DayZ at 120fps using the NVIDIA Control Panel, but it resulted in significant stuttering during gameplay. My computer can handle this frame rate, so I'm puzzled about why this is happening. I prefer not to use V-Sync due to the high latency it introduces. Has anyone else experienced this issue? What settings or methods do you recommend to effectively cap my frames without causing stuttering? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
