ZMF Atrium Open or Closed?

I am looking for the perfect compliment to the Hifiman HE1000 V2 (non-stealth). I was looking at just closed-backs like the DCA E3, Sony MDR-Z1R, Meze Liric 2, ZMF Atrium/Verite closed, etc. At this point, I think I am settled on the Atriums, but now i'm questioning whether the open or closed backs would fit the bill better.
