Is buying hobby boxes from the States and shipping to Canada a good idea?

One of the major online sports card stores in the US has a hobby box I am interested in for considerably cheaper than I can find in Canada, despite the expensive shipping. I have purchased once from the states and didn't have to pay import fees. How often do you get hit with these fees? If I have to pay an extra %15 percent, I'd rather just support my LCS. Thanks!
