Abnormal Pap smear

Hello, I am 29 years old, 5’8”, 128 pounds and I just received an abnormal Pap smear that I had taken on Monday. I have had pretty serious gastrointestinal issues for the past year, and my diet is very limited. The results were loaded into my portal, and it says the doctor hasn’t even reviewed them yet. I understand I shouldn’t jump to conclusions, but I’m quite scared and won’t be able to get answers till at least mid day tomorrow. Could a gynecologist or someone else familiar with the testing reassure me I’m probably going to be okay? I’m freaking out a bit.

The results read as follows:

Specimen #: CY24-2620 Specimen Type: THIN PREP PAP SMEAR SPECIMEN ADEQUACY: Satisfactory for evaluation CATEGORIZATION: Epithelial cell abnormalities: Infection: Reactive Changes: SQUAMOUS CELL: Atypical squamous cells undetermined significance GLANDULAR CELL: COMMENTS: HPV test submitted. Rare atypical cell. The cervical PAP smear is a screening test. Both false positive and false negative results occur. A negative PAP smear does not preclude dysplasia or malignancy. Clinical correlation is required in every case. Further diagnostic procedures may be clinically indicated even if a PAP smear is interpreted as within normal limits
