Ghibli films for a Disney Fan?

Question

Hey all. So I've been trying to get my mum into Studio Ghibli, and I'm struggling where to start. We've only made it a little bit into My Neighbours, The Yamadas, and The Cat Returns. Sadly, things have just been busy so we've had to start and stop, never actually finishing anything. The consensus I got from her was, Yamadas was kinda funny, Cat Returns is kinda dumb but pretty darn fun. My mum kind of struggles with eastern animation, but she really likes Disney. Her top Disney/Pixar films are Brave, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, and Aladdin, for reference on her taste. She tends to not be as into darker fare either, though on a good day she can be. I've watched every film aside from The Red Turtle and How Do You Live?, but I'm afraid my judgement will cloud me from making the best choice for a Ghibli film for her. What do you guys think would be the best options?

Side note, SUPER far out stuff she isn't huge on. Films that super heavily rely on japanese mythology like Pom Poko might not be the BEST idea, ( even if it is my number one ), since a lot of the time it can seriously weird her out. Not saying no influence, though. Just more minimal amounts might be better.
