Upright Whirlpool Freezer song - solution

About 6 months ago my upright Whirlpool Freezer (model WZF56R16DW) started randomly playing a series of tones / tune / beeping. This has become more and more frequent to the point it is happening about every 5-6 hours. After much time searching online for solutions I came across Whirlpool Technical Service Pointer # W10854827. This TSP mentioned electrical noise between the alarm buzzer and the cabinet harness may cause the unit to turn off. Apparently the unit turning back on is why the 'song' would play.

Annoyed at the price of the replacement piezo buzzer (part #W10846247 or #W10861568), I went in search of the location of the actual speaker (piezo buzzer). I thought it was near the buttons inside the freezer, but after disassembly I could not find it. Apparently the replacement part does plug in to this location.

After searching more (unplugging / plugging in the freezer), I was able to located the piezo buzzer. It is located in the back of the freezer behind the cardboard cover on the right side of the fridge next to where the power cable enters the unit. It was hidden a bit as it is mounted on the inside edge of the metal lip ... I spotted the red and black cables leading to it. I decided to just cut the cables to the piezo buzzer vs spending $60 - $100 for the replacement. I do realize I will no longer hear an open door alarm, but to me it is worth it for the saving and peace.
