How do I record and have it played back directly?

I started with Maschine few weeks ago and I have my Guitar connected via Guitar USB cable and I am using a Machine Mk III.

Until now I recorded the guitar via the sampler and afterwards I still had to record a Note input on that pattern to make it play.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out how to like put the sample track directly into my scene.
