is it a good idea to hit up an ex…?

for context:

ive been going through something for weeks now and i don’t have friends i can vent to about it. i don’t have that kind of relationship with them, unfortunately.

my ex and i ended on good terms. and idk, i remember how talking to them about stuff felt comforting and i was free from any judgement from them. we arent mutuals anymore though so maybe this isnt a good idea?

i really need to let this out to someone and i can’t think of anyone else i can do that to.
