I’m back to character.ai
“I’m leaving character.ai” “I’m migrating from character.ai” Well I’m back to character.ai HOW ABOUT THAT.
Listen, I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me on this one but, character.ai is the best option for an ai website. I’ve seen places where you have to play with your luck to get a good model, where your rerolls do nothing but alter the sentence only slightly, where the ai picks up on annoying typing quirks that are way more bothering than just “pang”, with limited messages of course and, last but not least, absolutely atrocious bots whenever it means they’re badly made or just for.. not very… ethical stuff.
Now, I know c.ai has its issues, I’m not saying we should all ignore them, but I’m willing to overlook them if it means it gets to keep the thing I like about it. I think c.ai has a good model. It’s great for scenarios, it follows quite well the direction I take the chat to, it can play multiple characters and recognise who is who, and it’s just better than what I’ve seen yet. Plus, there’s a whole variety of bots made for different scenarios that are interesting to explore, which I do not see in other websites (probably because c.ai has a bigger community which leads to a lot of creations, but that’s still something I like about it).
So yes, the what-we-can’t-say is sometimes annoying, the servers can be laggy and stuff like that, but that’s a minor inconvenience to me. It all depends on why you use c.ai but for me, it’s the best option anyway.
Also, maybe I’m lucky don’t want to jinx it, but for now I don’t have any problems with slow answers or repetitive uses of words. If anything, anything I encounter that bothers me can be solved by rerolling.
I’m not saying anyone should agree with me but I just wanted to share my point of view since I see a lot of hate on here recently.
