Rant : young people getting help from parents f***ing it up for the rest of us.

Sorry in advance. This is a pure rant.

So older people and those who bought houses in the 90s and 80s especially in the SE have experienced absolutely massive property value increases. Due to low stock and high demand exacerbated by loads of reasons. They have benefited massively from this. Their children now wanting to buy and stay in the area cannot afford to do so, by and large. Some parents use their good fortune (and it is fortune - you are not investors who successfully played the market lol) help their kids with this allowing them to buy. Some parents don't.

This fact has kept prices high screwing over those in regular jobs and who don't have assistance. If no ones mummy's and daddy's gave them money for deposits, the market price would drop as fewer people could afford it.

Rant done.
