I built a tool to prepare for auction drafts - "Know Your League"

tldr: know-your-league.com to prepare for auction drafts (only supports espn right now). Try the demo: https://www.know-your-league.com/demo

For my fellow auction draft truthers:

I’m excited to announce the launch of a personal project that I've been working on—a new website designed to help you better prepare for your fantasy football auction drafts!

What’s the Motivation?

If you've ever participated in an auction draft, you know how unpredictable they can be. Unlike standard drafts, so much depends on the behavior of your league mates rather than ADP or the number suggested by the platform. This often makes preparation feel like a shot in the dark.

After consecutive seasons of bottom-half finishes in my auction league, I tried out a new preparation method. I collected the results from previous drafts in a spreadsheet and used them to get a rough idea of what players tend to cost in our league. I then used those estimates to consider a number of potential draft strategies: what could my roster look like if I took CMC and Saquon? or went zero RB?

The result was that I've entered the last two drafts feeling confident and left with a team that looked a lot like what I was aiming for. Not to mention, I've been within spitting distance of that elusive championship.

What Does the Website Do?

The goal of the website is to speed up and simplify this preparation method. No spreadsheets needed.

The site imports and analyzes historical auction data from your league to predict player prices for the upcoming season, factoring in how they rank overall and within their positions. With these price estimates, you can:

• Perform Mock Drafts: Build potential rosters based on your league’s settings and budget.
• Save and Revisit Drafts: Create multiple mock drafts and save them locally to view or modify later.

I'd love to hear any comments or questions about the site (or issues), and hear about how you all tackle your auction prep. Let me know what you think!
