Birth control pills

Hi there quick question as I write this at around 3:33am lol if you’re taking lo loestrin and still having heavy bleeding with large clots and pain that makes you feel like you want to vomit or pass out, does it really make sense to continue taking birth control? I am not sexually active and it’s not looking likely given the state of my dating life. I mean why am I doing this if the reason I was taking them is to prevent my periods? I’m taking them continuously to prevent periods altogether!
