I got catfished oby my internship, what to do ?

Hello,

I have recently started my end of studies 6 months internship as an analyst in a REPE shop in Germany, according to my job description i was supposed to participate in deals modelling, search of financing etc… But when i started few months ago, my manager basically told me « the RE market is dead for now so you’re gonna work on back office and administrative things until the end of your internship ».

That put me in a very tricky situation because i cant accept to do tick-boxing tasks for a final internship if i wanna work in front office related roles afterwards but on the other hand the job market is kinda dead to find another internship in corporate finance/investment in such a short time.

Did anyone ever faced the same type of situation ? Should i just stay here and put the fancy job title + the tasks i was supposed to do on my resume or resign and try to get a new internship elsewhere ?

Thanks!
