Why do people become so mad and sometimes even become obsessed with you if you ignore them?

Do we not all have free will to decide whether or not to respond to someone? Do we all not have bodily autonomy?

I would say some people are normal with this, but a lot of people who I don’t respond to act like I committed a crime. Uh, last time I checked, I have the right to not speak, even in most countries. Especially the ones I and they lived in.

And when I tell others about these people or report people stalking me because they got offended about it online, sometimes other people will even act like my personal decision to stay quiet was the blame and I partially deserve to be stalked or something? Like, what?

It’s becoming increasingly more common in my experience that people are growing more immature towards others’ boundaries.

What gives?

And what is the deal with peoples’ need to bother everyone else even when theres not much of a reason anyway? If im on the train on my daily commute you should expect me to ignore you.. unless theres a fucking fire or something idk
