Editing style in shorts to promote long form videos

Hi everyone, I am planning to use yt shorts to promote my long form videos with the 'related video' feature of shorts. Please suggest
a) whether It is advisable to point towards the link to related video with a arrow animation in the shorts. b) how much of editing can we do in such shorts, can we finish the short with a few seconds clip which I've recorded apart from the original video and ask the viewer to click the link to see the full video? Any inputs on above will be helpful.
