Crossbow dominates everytime I fight in custom battle. Why?

Choose Vlandia crossbowmen and have a 100 v 100 fight against any combination of troops and lords. Just set the crossbow on an open field, edge of map or on hill, F2+F3, then watch as they just win, against everything, anything. Did they buff crossbow recently?
