Kenshi not detecting mods

i dont know if this is against the rules but i've seen other people ask something similar- why is kenshi not detecting mods that i put in the mod folder? i have the gog version of the game and some mods i downloaded from the workshop cant be detected by the launcher. i've already checked if you had to replace files for the mods to work and none of them are like that.
