Setup Question on Phono Preamp

Hi all. Longtime reader, first-time caller. I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with 2M Ortofon Blue Cartridge. Until recently, I had been using the Rega Fono MM Mk3 Phono Preamp with the NAD D3020 V2 Amplifier and KEF Q150 speakers, but after many years of loyal-ish service, the D3020 has died. I am considering replacing it with the PS Audio Sprout100. Am I correct in understanding that I can connect the turntable directly to the Sprout100 without needing the Rega preamp? Or am I wrong? Or secret third option, should I connect the Rega anyway even if I don't need it? Many thanks.
