A tree is always undermined
yet is so crucial to human life.
Her bark is rough it's true
but its holds life within
sometimes even causing pain and suffering
because she is a servant for others
and never has a servant for herself.
A black cat is always mistreated
yet they are so gentle and shy.
He is awake during the night
watching over the stars and the moon
but makes sure to return home
with his family, even if they're not the same species.
A woman is always overlooked
yet is the person who gave you life.
She sacrifices everything in the hope to give you something
and you never hear a complaint
because she understands that it isn't her place
and it was never a womans world in the first place.
A boy is always overworked
yet is tossed aside once they show weakness.
He tries to be the best
but sometimes he simply can't
and one day his mother promises that it wouldn't matter
because she would love him just the same
and he learns acceptance
growing in new ways, to benefit him.
But I don't know what to do
yet I always say I do.
I am not perfect and can sometimes be quite mean
but am I really to blame?
It is my first time living
and it's all of theirs too
so why do we focus so much on others
without focusing so much on ourselves too?
