Taylor uses a transposing button on her keyboard

Just saw a Tik Tok from last night where she was playing the keyboard and then asked the sound tech to ‘put it in the right key’.

For non-musical people, there are 24 different musical keys each with at least 7 chords. By using a ‘transposing’ button, it basically means she can play songs in different keys without having to learn the different chords. The video basically implies that she is essentially playing the same limited chords for every song. Is anyone else a bit surprised that after so many years as a piano player she hasn’t learned more than a couple of basic chords??
