Where does my pet go when they pass?

My wonderful dog passed away yesterday. I am struggling to feel peace with her being gone. I feel confused on where she is. I don’t understand what happens after death and I wish that I did.

Can you please share your thoughts on where your/my pet is after death? Thank you.
