Solo trip to Switzerland

I have a work trip to Switzerland in the end of September and I am hoping to fly in early and take a couple days off before the work trip and spend a thurs-sun in the mountains. I am thinking of staying in interlaken or grindelwald. I would like to go on some decent hikes (I’m in decent shape can go on a 10 mile hike) but also meet people at a social hostel if possible. Any recommendations on accommodation or hikes that would be good to solo hike?
